Inclined Plane

An inclined plane is a flat surface raised on one end.  This changes the way work is done.  It changes the direction of the force and the amount of force needed to lift an object.  Using an inclined plane makes work easier by letting you use less force to move an object.  Think about going for a bicycle ride and how much easier it is to go up a slight incline then going straight up a hill.  What other ways can think of how inclined planes make work easier?
